Hot off all the buzz from its premiere at the Telluride Film Festival, the first trailer for Greta Gerwig's directorial debut, punk coming-of-age drama Lady Bird, has arrived.

The film comes from none other than the genius of A24, and they debuted the first trailer earlier this afternoon. Check it out below:

Oh, would you look at that? A24 have done it again, folks. Lady Bird looks amazing. Gerwig puts her filmmaking hat on for this one - her first-time riding solo, having co-directed Nights and Weekends - and you just feel her energy and fingerprints all over this. Saoirse Ronan is also one of the most prominent rising stars working and this looks like such a strong, eclectic performance from the Academy-Award nominee - not to mention, a nice change from her more toned down roles (the likes of Brooklyn, Atonement, and even Hanna).

The film, loosely inspired by Gerwig's life, looks like it will be such a stylish, fun, emotional and unique coming-of-age drama of sorts. However, if none of that has been able to sell you on it, Lady Bird will be the latest film to come off of A24's conveyor belt of brilliant indie films. They're one of the best in the biz at the moment, consistently releasing astounding films, and their sheer attachment to a film is enough to get me very excited and enough to promise a great - and very unique and different - film; this one certainly looks like no exception.

Here's the film's official synopsis:
In LADY BIRD, writer/director Greta Gerwig reveals herself to be a bold new cinematic voice with her directorial debut, excavating both the humor and pathos in the turbulent bond between a mother and her teenage daughter. Christine “Lady Bird” McPherson (Saoirse Ronan) fights against but is exactly like her wildly loving, deeply opinionated and strong-willed mom (Laurie Metcalf), a nurse working tirelessly to keep her family afloat after Lady Bird’s father (Tracy Letts) loses his job. Set in Sacramento, California in 2002, amidst a rapidly shifting American economic landscape, Lady Bird is an affecting look at the relationships that shape us, the beliefs that define us, and the unmatched beauty of a place called home.
With Greta Gerwig at the helm, and starring Saoirse Ronan, Lucas Hedge, Timothee Chalamet, Tracy Letts, and Laurie Metcalf, Lady Bird is set to open in cinemas everywhere on November 10th, 2017.
