One of my most anticipated films of this year is Edgar Wright's latest, Baby Driver because anytime Wright is behind the wheel, there are many reasons to be excited. Well, the first trailer has zoomed in and it's awesome.

Baby Driver premieres at the South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas, this weekend. However, for those not in attendance, Sony Pictures have debuted the first trailer. Check it out:
And here's a very different International one too:

Just knowing that Baby Driver was Edgar Wright's passion project, a film driven by its soundtrack (something the director always excels on) made this one of my most anticipated films of 2017. Now having seen the first trailer for it, I'm more excited than ever before for Wright's latest.

Baby Driver looks like everything I wanted from it and then some; it's action-packed, stylish, funny and teases a searingly good soundtrack. The early buzz for Edgar Wright's action-musical from SXSW seems to be overwhelmingly positive, with reviews hailing it as a "pop masterpiece" and more. I love the cast. I love the director. I love the concept and story. And now I love the first trailer too. I cannot wait to see this when it opens.

Here's the film's official synopsis:
A talented, young getaway driver (Ansel Elgort) relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game. When he meets the girl of his dreams (Lily James), Baby sees a chance to ditch his criminal life and make a clean getaway. But after being coerced into working for a crime boss (Kevin Spacey), he must face the music when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom.
With Edgar Wright at the helm, and starring Ansel Elgort, Jamie Foxx, Jon Hamm, Jon BernthalLily James and Kevin Spacey, Baby Driver opens on August 11th, 2017. Mark your calendars, this is not one to miss.
