This year's Toronto International Film Festival is currently underway and a lot of films have been getting high praise and early Awards buzz. One film making a lot of noise is Tom Ford's latest thriller, Nocturnal Animals, and now the first teaser and posters for it have released.

7 years since his directorial debut, with the fairly stirring and impressive A Single Man, and fashion designer turned filmmaker Tom Ford is back behind the camera again for the dark dramatic thriller Nocturnal Animals. Focus Features have debuted the teaser trailer. Check it out below:
Whilst it's perhaps one of the more divisive films at TIFF this year, for the most part, Nocturnal Animals has been receiving lots of high praise for its complexity and its style and the incredible qualiy of directing and acting (who's surprised there, though). I'm a big fan of the stellar cast here - both Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal are some of my favourite actors in this industry today - and I love just how dark and ambigious this film looks. Of course, as we'd expect from Ford, it looks visually gorgeous too - given the director's previous career, he has a real eye for beauty and it's well captured in this teaser, dripping with style and beauty.

Alongside the teaser trailer, a whole slew of character posters for the film have also been released, which just showcase all the impressive talent starring in this film. The one sheets have been embedded at the bottom of this article. The premise of the film will follow two storylines, one involving Amy Adams' Susan, who is haunted by her ex-husband's novel, and the other which takes place in the novel itself, following Jake Gyllenhaal as a family who loses his family.

Here's the film's official synopsis:
From writer/director Tom Ford comes a haunting romantic thriller of shocking intimacy and gripping tension that explores the thin lines between love and cruelty, and revenge and redemption. Academy Award nominees Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal star as a divorced couple discovering dark truths about each other and themselves in “Nocturnal Animals."
With Tom Ford at the helm, and starring Amy Adams, Jake Gyllenhaal, Aaron-Taylor Johnson, Isla Fisher, Armie Hammer and Michael Shannon, Nocturnal Animals opens in the UK on November 4th, 2016.
