Yesterday was a big day for trailers. On one hand, we got the dark teaser for Tom Ford's thriller Nocturnal Animals. On the other, we also got the more joyous, uplifiting first, full-length trailer for Disney's next adventure: Moana.

Earlier this year, Walt Disney Animation Studios released Zootropolis, which was an intelligent and exceptional animation. The second of their two 2016 films, Moana, is looking to set sail soon and it looks just as great as the first, full trailer (and poster) for it has arrived. Check it out below:

Disney's other animation branch outside of Pixar has been on a winning streak over the past few years, delivering one animated gem after the other, from Wreck-It Ralph to Frozen to Big Hero 6 and more. Moana looks like no exception and looks like another fun, magical adventure. Of course, when you have Dwayne Johnson voicing a demi-god, that's also a big plus. I was already looking forward to this film but, after seeing this wonderful teaser, I'm more excited than ever before to see what's in store with this film.

Here's the film's official synopsis:
Three thousand years ago, the greatest sailors in the world voyaged across the vast Pacific, discovering the many islands of Oceania. But then, for a millennium, their voyages stopped – and no one knows why.

From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes “Moana,” a sweeping, CG-animated feature film about an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana (voice of Auli’i Cravalho) meets the once-mighty demigod Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), who guides her in her quest to become a master wayfinder. Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds, and along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she’s always sought: her own identity. Directed by the renowned filmmaking team of Ron Clements and John Musker (“The Little Mermaid,” “Aladdin,” “The Princess & the Frog”) and produced by Osnat Shurer (“Lifted,” “One Man Band”), “Moana” sails into U.S. theaters on Nov. 23, 2016.
With Ron Clements and John Musker at the helm, and starring the voice talents of Dwayne Johnson, Auli'i Cravalho, Phillipa Soo and Alan Tudyk, Moana opens in the U.S on November 23rd, 2016, before hitting U.K waters on December 2nd.

And here's the poster for the film, which was debuted by Dwayne Johnson on Instagram, kicking off their marketing scheme known as #MoanaMondays:
