This year's Comic-Con is well underway, and today was a big day in Hall H, bringing lots of very exciting and hugely anticipated films and panels to San Diego, most notably our first look at DC's forthcoming slate, including a Wonder Woman trailer (and poster), which has now arrived online.

Regardless of what you thought of the divisive Batman v Superman, everyone can agree that Gal Gadot's Amazonian Warrior was one of the best parts of the fim. The character is finally set to get her long-awaited, long overdue solo outing next Summer and, today, at the Warner Bros. panel, alongisde teasers for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Justice League, Kong: Skull Island and The LEGO Batman Movie, we also got the first trailer for Wonder Woman. Check it out below:
This film looks incredible. The action sequences look visceral, and the World War I setting has been so perfectly realised and utilised here. Gadot looks to continue her stellar work as our eponymous hero here, from Dawn of Justice, whipping ass with her lasso and sword. However, the best takeaway from this trailer is the fact that this looks fun! Something Batman v Superman lacked was a sense of fun and this trailer teases some great humour and a lighter tone.

Normally, trailers shown in Hall H at SDCC are kept as Comic-Con exclusives and, with this film still just under a year out, I never thought we'd get to see the trailer. However, it received a lot of hype when it was shown, and it's clear why, it looks amazing. Accompanying the reveal, Warner Bros. also released a poster for Wonder Woman and it's gorgeous and colourful - again, something that the DC Cinematic Universe previosuly lacked.

Here's the film's official synopsis:
Wonder Woman” hits movie theaters around the world next summer when Gal Gadot returns as the title character in the epic action adventure from director Patty Jenkins. Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.
With Patty Jenkins at the helm, and starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Danny Hudson, David Thwelis, and Ewan Bremner, Wonder Woman opens on June 2nd, 2017. Let the countdown begin; I cannot wait.
