DC delivered big at their Comic-Con panel yesterday, with two great trailers for the forthcoming Justice League and Wonder Woman films. However, they also brought their A-game to the TV side of things, most especially with our epic first look at The Flash Season 3.

Just the other day, Marvel delivered new trailers for their forthcoming Netflix shows Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders. The studio then followed suit with an impressive MCU panel too, releasing a new trailer for Doctor Strange and even announcing the actress that'll play Captain Marvel. DC had a great film panel, and their TV presentation was just as awesome, the highlight from which was the first trailer for Season 3 of The Flash. Check it out:

Considering the season has just begun filming, and there's about only about a week and a half's worth of footage to draw from, this sizzle reel is great. The Flash is one of my favourite TV shows out there at the moment and I loved the season 2 finale. This reel has some exciting, epic sequences and teases the reprucussions of Barry's actions, he has changed the timeline drastically, of course leading into the Flashpoint storyline, and things do not look too good. We also get a better look at Keiynan Lonsdale's Kid Flash, as well our first look at one of the season's two (yes, you read that right) main antagonist's: Dr. Alchemy.

The season will pick up three months after season 2 left off. When talking about the new timeline, Grant Gustin said, "At first, Barry doesn't realise how much has changed. When we find him, he's living in that blind bliss and unaware of those other changes out there." It was also revealed that Dr. Alchemy would only be one of two big bads this season; executive producer Todd Helbing said, "Were doing two big bads. One is a speedster that we'll reveal later, and the creepy guy in the mask that we saw is Doctor Alchemy." To those unfamiliar with the character, Doctor Alchemy is one of The Flash's enemies, and he uses what is known as the Philosopher's Stone to transmute elements and reconstruct molecular elements from one thing to another.

Starring Grant Gustin, Jesse L. Martin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Keiynan Lonsdale, Tom Cavanagh, and Tom Felton, The Flash Season 3 returns to The CW on Tueday October 4th, 2016, and will follow in the U.K, on Sky1, on October 11th.
