This year's Comic-Con is well underway, and today was a big day in Hall H, bringing lots of very exciting and hugely anticipated films and panels to San Diego, most notably our first look at DC's forthcoming slate, including a Justice League teaser and image, which have now arrived online.

Ever since Batman v Superman received some disappointing reviews, and wasn't quite the commercial hit Warner Bros. though it would be, it left movie-goers skeptical about the future of the DC Cinematic Universe. However, at Comic-Con, alongisde teasers for Fantastic Beasts, Kong: Skull Island and The LEGO Batman Movie, the studio also debuted our first look at Wonder Woman, as well as a teaser reel for Justice League and it seems that DC may finally be on the right track again with their films. Check it out below:

The trailer/sizzle reel doesn't give too much away but, for what we do get to see, it's awesome. The biggest complaint people had with Dawn of Justice (myself incuded) was how drab and serious it was - this is superheroes, for Christ's sake, it needs to be fun - but if there's one thing Zack Snyder knows how to do, it's listen to and acknowledge the fans. This Justice League footage is not only much lighter in tone (there's some great humour on offer here) but it just looks like such a fun film. I was smiling throughout.

I'm a big superhero and comic-book aficionado and I love DC but was sorely disappointed by Batman V Superman. However, my two favourite aspects of that film were Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot so I'm excited to see the pair step up as leads in this, as they go about their recruiting process. ason Momoa also looks so badass and epic as Aquaman and, as much as I love Grant Gustin's Barry Allen, Ezra Miller's version of the character is brilliant too - instantly likable and the standout of this teaser. Also, check out the image of the Justice League all standing together, in full costume, looking super cool (Cyborg's costume is by far my favourite), that Snyder also brought to Hall H. And, yes, Supes is there too. Henry Cavill was at the panel alongside the cast so, whilst he doesn't appear in the reel, expect to be seeing the Man of Steel back.

Here's the film's official synopsis:
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
With Zack Snyder at the helm, and starring Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, and Henry Cavill, Justice League is set to open on November 17th, 2017.
