Last night's MTV Movie Awards brought us plenty of treats such as a new Suicide Squad trailer. However, Warner Bros. have also released a new trailer for the Harry Potter film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, as J.K Rowling invites us to "explore a new era of the Wizarding World".

It has been almost 5 years now since we departed J.K Rowling's iconic Wizarding World and the beloved Harry, Hermoine and Ron, in 2011's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, but we're finally set to make a return to the notorious and magical universe this November in the Harry Potter spin-off film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Franchise alum David Yates (who helmed 4 out of 8 of the films) is on directing duties, off of a script peened by Rowling herself.

Warner Bros. debuted a brand-new teaser trailer for the film and it is packed with lots more footage and information this time around. For starters, we find out a bit more about our protagonist Newt Scamander as he heads to New York, having been expelled from Hogwarts. There's magic and fantastical creatures aplenty and it really seems as though Yates and Rowling have captured the wondrous, fantastical atmosphere of the original Harry Potter franchise. Set in the 1920's, the film will be based on the mythical book of the same name that the students of Hogwarts studied - which, in the stories, Scamander wrote. We still don't get a good look at any of the eponymous beasts but there's plenty to get excited about here.

Here's the film's official synopsis:
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures.  Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” also stars Katherine Waterston (“Steve Jobs,” “Inherent Vice”) as Tina; Tony Award winner Dan Fogler (“The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee”) as Jacob; Alison Sudol (“Dig,” “Transparent”) as Tina’s sister, Queenie; Ezra Miller (“Trainwreck”) as Credence; two-time Oscar nominee Samantha Morton (“In America,” “Sweet and Lowdown”) as Mary Lou; Oscar winner Jon Voight (“Coming Home,” TV’s “Ray Donovan”) as Henry Shaw, Sr.; Ron Perlman (the “Hellboy” films) as Gnarlack; Carmen Ejogo (“Selma”) as Seraphina; Jenn Murray (“Brooklyn”) as Chastity; young newcomer Faith Wood-Blagrove as Modesty; and Colin Farrell (“True Detective”) as Percival Graves.
With David Yates at the helm, and starring Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Ezra Miller, Colin Farrell, Jon Voight and Ron Perlman, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens on November 18th, 2016.
