The trailers just aren't stopping this week. Studios have just been dropping them like flies, one after the other. Just yesterday, Warner Bros. released the new trailer for their forthcoming comedy Central Intelligence (watch it here) and, now, the studio have released the new trailer for another one of their 2016 releases: The Legend of Tarzan.

Based on the iconic character created by Edgar Rice Burroughs, The Legend of Tarzan will see Alexander Skarsgård as our eponymous hero, with Margot Robbie by his side as Jane. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows director David Yates' retelling of the classic story will pick up a decade after Tarzan has left the Congo, now settled in civilisation until circumstances require him to return to the jungle and connect to his inner animal.

This evening, Warner Bros. have released a new trailer for the forthcoming picture and it's not too bad. The first trailer introduced us to Skarsgård's version of the iconic jungle man and set up the premise, whilst this new reveal shows us more of the action and features more of the classic story elements we've all grown very familiar with. The cinematography looks gorgeous and I love the style and dark tone of this trailer too. Accompanying the reveal, a dark, moody poster has also been unveiled.

Here's the film's official synopsis:
It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan (Alexander Skarsgård) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (Margot Robbie) at his side.  Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Captain Leon Rom (Christoph Waltz).  But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash.
With David Yates at the helm, and starring Alexander Skarsgård, Margot Robbie, Chrsitoph Waltz, Djimon Honsou and Samuel L. Jackson, The Legend of Tarzan opens on July 8th, 2016.
