Whilst we're just a few weeks away from Batman v Superman, the first of two of this year's epic superhero showdowns, Marvel are making sure we don't forget about their juggernaut equivalent - Captain America: Civil War - and have released some awesome character posters from the forthcoming film.

I loved 2014's The Winter Soldier, it's my personal favourite film from the MCU and the film is, critically, seen as one of the best. Reunite directors Joe and Anthony Russo for the follow-up and throw in Marvel's iconic Civil War storyline - pitching our First Avenger against Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark - and an impressive ensemble of some of the studio's biggest heroes and the third film in the Captain America franchise is shaping up to be one of Marvel's biggest films yet and I cannot wait to see it.

Over the past couple of days, Marvel have debuted a whole slew of character posters for the forthcoming threequel and they're awesome; the one-sheets beg the million dollar question of whose side are you on? We have character posters for each member of Team Cap and, on the other side, we have posters for everyone joining Team Iron Man. Aside from leaked images or set photos, the one-sheets also give us our first official look at Chadwick Boseman's T'Challa, outside of his Black Panther costume, as well as our first official look at Paul Rudd's Scott Lang and Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch.

With these Civil War character posters now out and the film set to hit U.K screens next month, it's time to choose your side. It's red versus blue, brains versus brawn; are you #TeamCap or are you #TeamIronMan?

Here's the film's official synopsis:

“Captain America: Civil War” picks up where “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.
