Back in 2014, we received the first Bad Neighbours film and it was hilarious. Of course, a sequel was inevitable and, finally, the first trailer (accompanied by a lovely teaser poster) for the follow-up have arrived and there's some serious girl trouble in the neighbourhood in Bad Neighbours 2: Sorority Rising.

I loved the first Bad Neighbours film. I thought it was hilarious and original and one of the funniest films in a while. The film pit new parents Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne against the fraternity that moved in next door, Delta Psi, led by none other than Zac Efron. The film was a worldwide success so, as is expected, a sequel was greenlit soon after. This time around, Rogen and Byrne enlist the help of their old nemesis, Efron, to help them bring down Kappa Nu, a sorority which has just moved in next door, led by Chloë Moretz.

This evening, Universal have debuted the first trailer for the forthcoming sequel and it is hilarious. The reveal sets up the premise nicely and teases some of the humour on offer for the second Neighbours outing. Of course, the biggest problem here is that their neighbours are girls - not as easy to stop as guys - and it gives them a glimpse into what could be the future of their daughter. I loved this trailer and cannot wait to see this film. Accompanying the reveal, a teaser poster for Sorority Rising has also been unveiled and it's just brilliant.

Here's the film's official synopsis:
Now that Mac (Rogen) and Kelly Radner (Byrne) have a second baby on the way, they are ready to make the final move into adulthood: the suburbs. But just as they thought they’d reclaimed the neighborhood and were safe to sell, they learn that the new occupants next door are a sorority even more out of control than Teddy (Efron) and his brothers ever dreamed of being.

Tired of their school’s sexist, restrictive system, the unorthodox ladies of Kappa Nu have decided to start a house where they can do whatever the hell they want. When Shelby (Moretz) and her sisters, Beth (Kiersey Clemons) and Nora (Beanie Feldstein), find the perfect place just off campus, they won’t let the fact that it’s located on a quiet street stand in their way of parties as epic as the guys throw.

Forced to turn to the one ex-neighbor with the skills to bring down the new Greeks next door, the Radners — alongside best friends Jimmy (Ike Barinholtz) and Paula (Carla Gallo) — bring in charismatic Teddy as their secret weapon. If he can infiltrate the sorority and charm his way through it, the thirtysomethings will shutter the Kappas’ home. But if they think that their neighbors are going down without a fight, they have severely underestimated the power of youthful ingenuity and straight-up crazy.
With Nicholas Stoller returning to the helm, and starring Zac Efron, Seth Rogen, Rose Byrne, Chloë Grace Moretz, Kiersey Clemons, Ike Barinholtz and Selena Gomez, Bad Neighbours 2: Sorority Rising is set to hit the U.K on May 6th, 2016, before the U.S on May 20th.
