From the HUGELY anticipated Batman v Superman to Marvel's epic Civil War to the long-awaited Deadpool and more, 2016 is set to be a historic year for superhero films, and fans alike. Well, one of the more interesting comic-book adaption amongst this year's releases, DC's all-villain Suicide Squad has received a new trailer and some character posters. It's time for bad meets evil.

The DC Cinematic Universe is set to officially kick off in around a couple of months time with the first ever film big-screen film featuring both Batman and Superman. Whilst I'm certainly very excited to see two of the most iconic superheroes ever butt heads and fight one another, it's DC's other 2016 release that has piqued my interest a little more. Topping my most anticipated of 2016 list, that film would be the first ever movie dedicated solely to a team of villains: David Ayer's Suicide Squad. The film is set to follow Viola Davis' Amanda Waller as she recruits a team of some of the most dangerous people on Earth, to try and get them to use their abilities for good. Of course, being villains, we can expect that things won't be quite as easy as they seem.
Warner Bros. have debuted the first, full-length, official trailer for the forthcoming film and it is AMAZING! The reveal gives us a much better idea of the premise and of how Task Force X comes to be and we get a much better look at all the baddies in our eponymous squad. I love the style of this film too. We really get to see the chaotic and unpredictable nature of this film and, of course, of these bad guys. We get to see more of Jared Leto's version of The Joker too and he's amazing but it's Margot Robbie's portrayal of the fan-favourite Harley Quinn that steals the show. A whole handful of stylish character posters have also released to accompany the trailer and I've attached them below. This definitely looks like a very different but very fun comic-book movie and I cannot wait to see this.

With Fury's David Ayer at the helm and starring Will Smith (Deadshot), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Jared Leto (The Joker) and Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Suicide Squad will open on August 4th, 2016.
