With all major studios dropping trailers for their big 2016 releases, left, right and centre, it's only right that Warner Bros. get in the mix too and, today, they've debuted the first trailer and poster for next year's highly anticipated Harry Potter spin-off film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

4 years since we departed J.K Rowling's iconic Wizarding World and the beloved Harry, Hermoine and Ron, in 2011's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, and we're set to make a return to the notorious and magical universe next year in the Harry Potter spin-off film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Franchise alum David Yates (who helmed 4 out of 8 of the films) is on directing duties, off of a script peened by Rowling herself.

Warner Bros. have debuted a short teaser trailer (accomapnied by a mystical first poster too) for the film, giving us our first look at our new franhcise lead Eddie Redmayne, as Newt Scamander. Set in the 1920's, the film will be based on the mythical book of the same name that the students of Hogwarts studied - which, in the stories, Scamander wrote. The reveal doesn't give too much away but the tone certainly feels as though we're back in this world - with magic and fantastical creatures aplenty.

Here's the film's official synopsis:
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures.  Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” also stars Katherine Waterston (“Steve Jobs,” “Inherent Vice”) as Tina; Tony Award winner Dan Fogler (“The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee”) as Jacob; Alison Sudol (“Dig,” “Transparent”) as Tina’s sister, Queenie; Ezra Miller (“Trainwreck”) as Credence; two-time Oscar nominee Samantha Morton (“In America,” “Sweet and Lowdown”) as Mary Lou; Oscar winner Jon Voight (“Coming Home,” TV’s “Ray Donovan”) as Henry Shaw, Sr.; Ron Perlman (the “Hellboy” films) as Gnarlack; Carmen Ejogo (“Selma”) as Seraphina; Jenn Murray (“Brooklyn”) as Chastity; young newcomer Faith Wood-Blagrove as Modesty; and Colin Farrell (“True Detective”) as Percival Graves.
With David Yates at the helm, and starring Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Ezra Miller, Colin Farrell, Jon Voight and Ron Perlman, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens on November 18th, 2016.
