Today saw Warner Bros' annual Comic-Con panel take place at the event, in San Diego. We saw some footage from The Man From U.N.C.L.E, Pan and even Suicide Squad. But none could compare to the first, full-length trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice which was shown and, well, it has now been released online for our viewing pleasure.

Back at Comic-Con 2013, director Zack Snyder announced the project (getting one of Hall H's biggest reactions to date) and, last year, we got a brief look at some first footage which saw Batman's encounter with Superman and, continuing tradition, the director didn't come empty-handed to Comic-Con this year and, with the cast of the film in attendance, debuted the film's first, full-length trailer to Hall H goers. It also received a standing ovation, it was that good. And that's a rarity at this event these days.

The studio have now released the trailer online for fans at home to savour too and, well, it's amazing. The reveal gives us a better look at the encounter between The Dark Knight and the Man of Steel. We also get our first look at Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, in costume, kicking ass. There's Jesse Einsberg as Lex Luthor, plus lots of explosions and mass destruction. Oh, we can also see Robin's suit in the Batcave with the words "Jokes on you, Batman" scrawled across his chest. This is a world where he's dead.

Here's the film's official synopsis:
Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
