One film that I've been hugely anticipating, ever since it was announced, is the teen comedy The Outskirts. Having followed the film very closely, it's a real honour to be able to say that I have an exclusive first look reveal of a new still from the film. How exciting!!!

It's a big week, here at Oasis Awais, packed full of The Outskirts goodness. I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to interview director Peter Hutchings and chat to him about the film (read the full thing here) and, now, I have been entrusted with the exciting task of exclusively debuting a new still for the film.

The film will follow two best friends, Mindy (Eden Sher) and Jodi (Victoria Justice), that fall victim to a really cruel, embarrassing prank by high-school Queen Bee Whitney (Claudia Lee) and her group of 'populars'. Tired of being treated unfairly, Mindy and Jodi set about uniting the rest of the school's 'outcasts' in an effort to overthrow the 'populars' and take over the school. As Peter told myself, "it's a story about friendship, community and the search for authenticity."

Today, I have an exclusive first look at a new still from the film - putting the spotlight on the school's 'outcasts'. Seen in the image (from left to right) are Jazmyn Richardson's Sugar, Eden Sher's Mindy, Katie Chang as Claire in the middle with Victoria Justice's Jodi and Ashley Rickards' Virginia to her right. The girls make one badass, super chic and super cool team and I can't wait to see just how they plan on getting revenge upon the 'populars'. It's payback time.

With Peter Hutchings at the helm, and starring Victoria Justice, Eden Sher, Claudia Lee, Peyton List, Avan Jogia, Ashley Rickards, Will Peltz, Jazmyn Richardson and Katie Chang, The Outskirts is set to release on November 6th, 2015.
