It's Marvel mania right now. Following the arrival of the Ant-Man teaser trailer last night, we now head over to the other side of things as, this evening, the premiere date of their forthcoming show Daredevil has been announced. We have a nifty little poster too.
After months of speculation, it has finally been revealed when the series will be making its debut... and it's quite soon, in fact. So, grab your calendars and start prepping to binge-watch the hell out of Season 1 of Daredevil, as it will be premiering on Netflix in just over three months time, on April 10th, 2015.
Here's the official synopsis:
“Marvel’s Daredevil” follows the journey of Matt Murdock, who was blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, now fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.
All 13 episodes will be available from then so you can expect that the die-hard comic book aficionados among us will be diving straight into it, partaking in a marathon so mighty that only the bravest will dare join them (see what I did there). It'll mark the arrival of the first of five planned Marvel shows heading to the hit streaming service. The others being Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders. As for when we will see them, the Netflix CEO said that "you should expect them about a year apart."
Accompanying this announcement, we have an awesome, fiery first poster for the series - courtesy of the beautiful people over at Marvel - which sees the character's iconic logo light up the dark, brooding streets of New York City. It also comes in motion form too, the logo coming to life before our eyes.
