Here you have it, folks! He said that he would be back and, well... he is! Arnold Schwarzenegger returns to action and the world of Terminators in the first trailer for Terminator: Genisys. It has a pretty poster too.

I think, from all the big, glossy projects releasing next year - from Jurassic World to Age of Ultron etc - the one that I am, maybe not least excited for, but, more so, am just... confused by is Termintator: Genisys. Well, the trailer has put things into perspective - a little bit, at least.

So, recently, as I'm sure you're all aware, marketing for next year's big productions has begun and, now, the latest to join the ranks is next Summer's new Terminator film; Terminator: Genisys. Following the release of the film's teaser poster the other day, a first full trailer has now landed and it's actually quite good - despite myself, and lots of others, dumping on the film for having a crap title and for just giving us the impression that this is going to be a bad film.

The trailer begins with us in a post-apocalyptic Los Angeles, in 2029, with Jason Clarke's John Connor giving us a deep, motivational little speech to his team of warriors, shall we call them? We then find out that Skynet have sent Terminators back in time to kill his mother so Jai Courtney's Kyle Reese offers to go back in time. There, the awesome Emilia Clarke, as Sarah Connors, saves Reese and some others from a T-1000 I believe; with the iconic "come with me if you want to live" line.

But, then, out of nowhere comes in Arnold Schwarzenegger as the T-800 and I have to say, whilst I'm not over excited for this, his entrance in the reveal gave me goosebumps and make me feel out a little bit - it's just that awesome. We then cut to various action sequences playing one after another before the title treatment. However, post-title treatment, the trailer ends - with another geek-out moment - with Arnie delivering that line of his we all know and love... "I'll be back."

Now, I'll say that I thought the trailer was pretty good but not glorious! It wasn't mindblowing and I do still have my doubts about it. At least I know it won't be as terrible as I was expecting it to be (I was expecting it to be the worst film of 2015). Well, I'm hoping it won't be anyway. Accompanying the trailer, an actual first poster for Genisys arrived too and it features the gorgeous Emilia Clarke; albeit her back. Hey, I think she's a beautiful and just super cool actress no matter what way she's facing. Besides, it looks friggin epic too!!!

Here's the film's unofficial, but pretty accurate (by the looks of the trailer), synopsis:

The year is 2029. John Connor, leader of the resistance continues the war against the machines. At the Los Angeles offensive, John’s fears of the unknown future begin to emerge when TECOM spies reveal a new plot by SkyNet that will attack him from both fronts; past and future, and will ultimately change warfare forever.

With Alan Taylor helming and starring Arnold SchwarzeneggerEmilia ClarkeJason ClarkeMatt SmithJai Courtney and J.K SimmonsTerminator: Genisys will open in cinemas on July 2nd, 2015.
