Just under a week ago, Universal Pictures released the first couple of posters for their upcoming Fast and Furious 7 (just Furious 7 in the US) and, as promised, the first trailed has raced online today, coming at us in full speed.

***UPDATE: We have added a handful of new Furious 7. You can find them all at the bottom of this post - below the trailer!***

The last Fast and Furious film - Fast and Furious 6 - was amongst the biggest films of last year, managing to gross almost $800 million and it's expected that Fast and Furious 7 will do just as well, if not better, when it arrives.

Fast and Furious 7 was expected to release sometime this year but the unfortunate passing of Paul Walker resulted in the film, unfortunately, being delayed, to next year, in order for director James Wan to make some adjustments to the script and to re-shoot some scenes (with Caleb and Cody Walker coming in and helping). It is, of course, Paul's final film so its going to be an emotional ride, for fans of the franchise and his firneds too, but his fellow cast members have said that his character will be given a proper send off in the film which is good to hear.

Well, after a week full of teasing, the first trailer for the seventh film in the hit Fast and Furious franchise has arrived - it debuted at The Road to Furious 7: Trailer Launch Event in LA - and it's fricking epic! It's packed full of everything we love about the films - arguments, action, explosions, hot girls and, of course, hot cars! I have loved and followed these films from the start and I have to say, this trailer has me excited for the film! It seems like we're going back to the days of the classic Fast and Furious films as the expanding family face their toughest challenge, in what looks like the biggest, most awesome, and perhaps even final, F&F film to date.

Picking up from where Fast & Furious 6 left off, Furious 7 will find Vin Diesel's Dominic Toretto and the gang face the consequences of bringing down Luke Evans' Owen Shaw, when his older brother - Jason Statham as Ian Shaw - pays them a visit, to seek vengeance upon them for killing his brother.

Furious 7 opens in cinemas on 3rd April, 2015. Ride or die.

Here's the film's official synopsis:

Continuing the global exploits in the unstoppable franchise built on speed, Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson lead the returning cast of Furious 7. James Wan directs this chapter of the hugely successful series that also welcomes back favorites Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky and Lucas Black. They are joined by international action stars new to the franchise including Jason Statham, Djimon Hounsou, Tony Jaa, Ronda Rousey and Kurt Russell. Neal H. Moritz, Vin Diesel and Michael Fottrell return to produce the film written by Chris Morgan.
