The Fast and Furious franchise has shifted back into the fast lane and is now going full speed ahead with its latest film. The first stills, from it, have arrived and a teaser trailer is coming soon!
Paul Walker's unfortunate passing last year meant that production on the 7th instalment in the ever-growing Fast and Furious series was hindered. Fast and Furious 7 was set to race into cinemas this past July but, of course, the sudden death of Walker shocked the whole world, especially the cast that had known and loved him. Because of re-shoots and cuts and changes to the film, it was delayed until next year.
Now (as its release slowly approaches), director James Wan is busy in post production on the film, before it hits cinemas next Spring. Yesterday, Fast and Furious veteran Vin Diesel took to his Facebook page to debut two new stills and to talk about the teaser trailer for the project.
One of the stills see him wrapping up his hand whilst the other sees him chatting to Walker's Brian O'Connor. On FB, Diesel was talking about how incredible he found the teaser trailer for the film - sharing his passion for the franchise and hinting at how we'll be seeing it soon too.
He also honoured his late friend and mentioned how emotional the teaser was - 'Pablo' referring to Walker because, just like Toretto and O'Connor, Diesel and Walker had a tight, brothery relationship making what he writes even more saddening.
Let's face it, the F&F won't be the same - for anyone - with Walker out the picture. When production kicked off again, his brothers were brought in to finish his scenese. Hopefully the character is given a worthy and proper send off in the film (however he may retire).
These two stills don't give too much away about the film but the arrival of them does mean that we can't expect lots more from the film over the forthcoming months.
Following on from Fast and Furious 6's post-credit scene, in which Jason Statham's Ian Shaw appeared in Tokyo to take out Suang Kang's Han, Fast and Furious 7 will see Ian hunt down Toretto and his crew, in order to seek revenge and avenge the death of his brother (Luke Evans' Shaw from last year's F&F 6).
