We've had one part of the equation already, as we've seen Affleck as Batman and, today, the first image from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has landed online and it features part 2 of the equation; Superman.

It's the first official shot from the highly anticipated film and it sees Henry Cavill suited and booted as the Man of Steel.
The suit hasn't changed a lot since his arrival last year, apart from it looks darker.
But, it's clear that it will work nicely alongside Affleck's Batman costume.
Check out the image of Cavill below:
With the dark skies, heavy downpour and dark theme that connects with Affleck's dark theme, it looks like director Zack Snyder is going for a much darker, more grim outlook on this film which, I guess, could make for some interesting viewing.

The image was released by USAToday and, in my opinion, it's not a big deal. We weren't expecting much for Cavill apart from what we saw last year with Man of Steel so this reveal doesn't come with much surprise. However, it is a rather epic image so no hate from me.

"We've both created this guy and we can push him around a little bit," Snyder tells USAToday on working with Cavill. "The more time I spend with Henry, the more he's Superman to me."

When talking about the film's scale he said, "You can talk all you want about other superhero movies, but it's Batman and Superman, let's just be honest. I don't know how you get bigger than that."

Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice has begun shooting and opens in the UK on 6 May 2016.
