It's about time...
With the first image of Ben Affleck as Batman having released last week, we're starting to find out more about Zack Synder's highly anticipated sequel to last year's Man of Steel and whilst the name Batman vs. Superman wasn't actually confirmed or anything, it was what the project was referred to as but today, Warner Bros. have FINALLY dropped the film's official title... and it looks like our we weren't too far off.
Previous rumours and riffraff suggested other name possibilities for the follow-up like Man of Steel: The Black Knight (racist), Man of Steel: Black of Knight (racist), Man of Steel: The Blackest Hour (racist) and others of similar resemblence but they went for something that didn't involve 'darkness' or 'black' as the superhero crossover will in fact go by the name of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and a rather cool logo (above) (click for hi-res) has also been released to accompany the title and make things official.

What exactly is Dawn of Justice referring to, you ask?
Well, take into consideration that the film will be building up to Justice League, also directed by Snyder, and both projects will be shot back to back and your question is answered there.

It's the kinda title that will be reacted to in various ways but it's quite cleverly used as it sounds rather cool and the dawn part hints to Warner Bros. future plans for their DC universe as Dawn of Justice literally means the beginning of Justice (Justice being the League, the Justice League) and the Batman v Superman part hints that the film will see the 2 hereos battle it out.

Principal photography for the film has commenced, in Detroit, and the film is slated for a May 6th 2016 release.
Still ages to wait.

The full, official, press release can be found below.
